PORTRAITS of people or animals, in you choice of media, size, color We can work from your photo or printed piece, no matter what size it is or whether it’s black and white or color. If your reference is black and white, we can create color based on your input. Or, for a little more (because of the extra time needed) , we can work from life, or a combination of both. The following prices are based on a single subject, using a photo or printed reference.

PORTRAIT OF YOUR HOUSE, A BUILDING OR SCENE You may have a photo of a place you’ve lived in or that is memorable to you in some other way and want to preserve it in art form. It could be your present or previous residence, your birthplace or other home that is dear to yours or your family’s heart. It could be a school or other public building. Or it could be a memorable scene from a favorite vacation spot you’ve been to or would like to visit, or a seascape or landscape photo you took or found in a magazine. MEMORIAL PORTRAITS AND CUSTOM COMPOSITIONS If a person special to you passes away, you may want to preserve their image in a special way. If you don’t have a very large or good picture of them, you can have your image enhanced with sharper delineation, better color or perhaps some added elements associated with the person that you want to include in the picture. You may have two or more pictures that you want to combine into one composition. And you may want some hand lettering in the picture as well. This can all be done in a custom commission.

ART FROM YOUR IDEAS You may have had a vision, dream or observed something you really liked or that moved you emotionally. If you can describe it to artist, he may be able to re-create it for you in a painting or drawing.

TIME FRAME FOR PRODUCTION 10 to 15 days would be an average time frame, but it could be more, depending on subject, medium, size of art, reference provided, the artist’s scheduled booked commissions and other factors. If a “rush” is required, the artist will make every effort to meet the date specified, if requested in advance. There may be a rush charge if completing the commission on time requires working nights, weekends and/or holidays, or postponing work on another commission.

Payment terms: Once you have decided on the specifics of your commission, two payment options are available: 1) A cash or check deposit of at least half the commission amount on placement and balance on delivery, or 2) A Vault order acknowledgment, including a credit card number to which the commission will be charged must be signed and returned via mail or fax, or a note of acknowledgment including a credit card number and the price of the commission returned via email. Full payment will be debited to the card only upon delivery of the art.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Pricing on this web site does not include framing or matting of the art, nor freight to ship art out of the Orlando area. For oil paintings, a FREE coat of varnish is available and recommended, to be applied after the paint has dried, which will be from 3 months to a year after it is completed. Drawings in pastel or pencil will be sprayed with fixative before delivery. The surface material upon which the art is done is canvas or prepared maisonette for oil paintings, illustration board or canvas for acrylics and gouache, fine paper for drawings and pastels. If you prefer a style other than realistic for your art, please discuss it with the artist in advance.
